Reveal Day Delay

Hey there! Just a quick note to let you all know that I haven't forgotten about Reveal Day, I'm just going to wait until tomorrow when I'm not so exhausted to do the honors in order to do things properly.

Besides, we only have one fic waiting for us... Just the one. Anyone else want to join in? Drabbles are allowed and so is anything else that adds up to more than 100 words, so grab your keyboard and come join us!! The prompt is, "I think we made a big mistake." It's a great prompt with tons of scenarios and suzannemarie and I would love to see what you come up with.

So yeah. You have an extra day to play! Make the best of it!! :)

Reminder: prompt in play

A look at the calendar reveals that spring is flying by. (How did we get to May 9 already?) Which means that June 1 is fast approaching. Which means that we're coming ever closer to the reveal day for the current prompt, I think we made a big mistake.

Personally, I'm hoping to recover enough writing mojo to revisit and finish a WIP that fits the prompt.

I hope that there are others out there who are inspired and motivated to gift us with your work. Check in and let us know how you're doing. And, as always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Reveal Day: Prompt #8

Time for another round of one_prompt and after much consideration and lots of thought, I've chosen yet another brilliant prompt:

I think we made a big mistake.

Come on. What's not to love about this prompt? :D

Please post your story/intro to story in this post. All comments are screened until reveal day, June 1st. As always, if you were the one who suggested this prompt, you may comment to this post to identify yourself. Your comment will be unscreened along with the stories. You are also welcome to remain anonymous if you prefer.

There is no theme or challenge for this cycle of stories. Go wherever the prompt takes you as long as it’s an SG-1 story.

A few reminders:

* An overview of the rules can be found at the Front Page.

* Guidelines for posting your story are here.

* Questions? Ask here.

* Even if you post your story in its entirety in the comments to this post, you are encouraged to post it to your personal journal too—just be sure to keep it private until the day of reveal.

Dates to know:

April 1: Prompt revealed

May 31: Primary deadline for story submissions

June 1: Comments (stories) unscreened

June 5: I will create a new post consisting of an index with links to each story. If you want your story to be included in this index, it must be submitted by that date. Stories may be submitted after June 5 and I will do my best to update the index, but please remember that late additions might not be added to the index.

July 1: New prompt announced. Submissions for “I think we made a big mistake.” will be closed.

Happy writing!

Cabin Fever is open for reading

Entries for Cabin Fever are now available for reading. Participation (so far) is light, but that just means more attention for our early entry, right? ;)

If you've been working on something and just haven't quite gotten it done--keep plugging away. We'll still enjoy reading entries that come in after the 1st. In the meantime, read and enjoy what's available so far.

checking in

We are on the downward slope of February. That means March and spring is fast approaching. With that also comes the reveal of our current prompt, Cabin Fever. We've already begun to get contributions. Are you taking advantage of any cabin fever of your own to come up with your own story for us?

We're looking forward to seeing what you have for us.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

One-Prompt: Only a few more weeks to go!!

Are you suffering from the doldrums of staying indoors due to cold, winter days? Do you long for spring breezes, warm balmy weather and brids singing from the treetops? Do you wish that this freaking cold, snowy weather would JUST GO AWAY ALREADY??

Yeah, me too. :D

But for those of us stuck with winter for another few months - we need to come up with distractions to drive away the Cabin Fever that plagues us. We need to get out there and write stories to read by the fire. And we need to post those stories by February 28th because that's the deadline for this round's prompt.

So come on! We only have a couple more weeks to get those stories ready and posted. How are you coming along with your fic?

*tap tap tap*

As the days begin to lengthen, the cold begins to strengthen. Sometimes cabin fever even begins to set it. What would be a good coping mechanism for cabin fever? Why, writing to a prompt to that very same name, of course!

February is drawing near. That means that March and the deadline for this prompt will be marching in soon after. February is a short month you know.

We're looking forward to seeing what you talented, clever people come up with.

Questions? Don't hesitate to ask.

New Year, New Prompt

With a new year officially underway, it's also time to put a new prompt in play. We are up to lucky number 7. We've had a great run of excellent stories. Can we keep it going for 2011?

Without further ado, our prompt for this winter quarter is... Cabin Fever.

Where will the prompt take you? Angst? Humor? Secrets revealed? Do you have an intriguing crossover (any fandom) in mind? As long as SG-1 is the primary subject, go for it. We're eager to see where your imaginations lead you.

As usual, post your story/intro to story to this post. All comments are screened until reveal day on March 1. I know that seems far away now, but it will be here before we know it. There will be plenty of nagging encouragement and reminders between now and the deadline. Anything from ficlets to stories of epic length are welcome.

A few reminders:

* An overview of the rules can be found at the front page.

* Guidelines for posting your story are here

* Questions? As always, feel free to ask them here.

* Even if you post your story in its entirety in the comments to this post, you are encouraged to post it to your personal journal too—just be sure to keep it private until the day of reveal.

*Do you have prompts to suggest? Post them here.

Dates to know:

February 28: Primary deadline

March 1: Comments (stories) unscreened

March 5: I will create a new post consisting of an index with links to each story. If you want your story to be included in this index, it must be submitted by that date. Stories may be submitted after June 5 and I will do my best to update the index, but please remember that late additions might not be added to the index.

April 1: New prompt announced. Submission for Cabin Fever will be closed.
